Create a Combination Set

Here's how you create a cross-validation combination set.

  1. In the Setup and Maintenance work area, go to the Manage Chart of Accounts Configuration task:
    • Offering: Financials
    • Functional Area: Financial Reporting Structures
    • Task: Manage Chart of Accounts Configurations
  2. On the Manage Chart of Accounts Configuration page, select the row for the chart of accounts.
  3. On the Actions menu, select Manage Cross-Validation Rules.
  4. On the Manage Cross-Validations page, click the Combination Sets tab.
Note: You can also navigate to this page using the Manage Cross-Validation Rules task.
  5. Click the Create icon.
  6. Enter a name for the combination set.
Note: Use a name that's unique across all charts of accounts.
  7. Enter a description.
  8. Select a type. The type determines whether the combinations in the combination set are valid or not valid. You can’t change the type after you save the combination set.
Note: You can create only one type of combination set for the same set of validation segments.
  9. Accept the default status of Draft. This is the initial status when you define a combination set. The status tracks the lifecycle of the combination set. Change the status after you’ve uploaded the combinations and are ready to start using the combination set.
  10. Specify the validation segments.
  11. Save the definition.
