How You Upgrade ISO 20022 Templates to 2019 Version

Use the updated ISO 20022 file templates for payments and direct debits file templates. The new templates meet the compliance requirements of 2019 version.

The updated templates include an XML header version number, an extra tag under the required execution date, and a change of the BIC tag to BICFI.

BIP templates are predefined with these names:

• ISO20022 Common Global Implementation 2019
• ISO20022 Single Euro Payments Areas 2019
• ISO20022 Direct Debit Common Global Implementation 2019
• Single Euro Payments Areas Core Direct Debit 2019.

To use these templates for creating payment and direct debit files:

1. Create a format for each template by selecting the required BIP template.
2. Create payment process profiles and funds capture process profiles with their respective formats.
3. Use the payment process profile and funds capture process profiles during the transactions to reflect the latest changes.

Fix Missing Templates in BI

If you can’t see a 2019 ISO 20022 template, you might have changed this predefined report. Here's what you can do to restore the template.

1. Navigate to the custom folder at Shared Folders > Custom > Financials > Payments.
2. Select Disbursement Payment File Formats for payment files or Funds Capture Authorization and Settlement Formats for direct debit.
3. Click More > Rename to rename the report.
   Note: You can also delete the report. However, don’t delete the report if you've custom templates as you might need to reupload them.
4. Return to predefined report folder to see the 2019 templates.
