How can I delete an allocation rule?

You delete an allocation rule from the System View. You can delete an allocation rule only if it is not used by other rules or rule sets.

If the rule is being used, you must remove the allocation rule from the rules and rule sets using it, or make copies of it for the rules and rule sets using it, before you delete it. To see if a rule is used by other rules and rule sets, you can show the usages of the rule.

To delete an allocation rule:

1. In the System View, expand the Essbase Application Type, the Application, or Database, and Rules.

2. Make sure the rule you want to delete is not being used by another rule set or rule.

3. Right-click the rule you want to delete, and select Delete.

4. Click OK to confirm deletion of the rule.
