How to Reverse a Transfer Authorization

A transfer authorization can be reversed if the funds are repaid by the receiver organization to the provider using the same route path or if the accounting impact must be reversed for any other reason.

A transfer authorization must be in the approved status for it to be reversed.

Reversal of a transfer authorization would create a new transfer authorization with the reversed amount keeping rest of the attributes same as the original transfer authorization and record the association between the original and reversed transfer authorization.

The accounting will also be reversed. Also, if there is currency conversion involved, then the same currency conversion rates from the original transfer authorization are used.

Note: A transfer authorization can only be reversed once, and a reversed transfer authorization can no longer be reversed.
