Ledger Set Classifications

When you create a ledger set, you can optionally assign it a classification.

Use the ledger set classification to configure ledger sets that enforce all ledgers in the set to have the same currency. This is helpful when defining ledger sets for reporting where all ledgers need to share the same currency, or when combining primary and secondary ledgers into a ledger set to obtain a complete accounting view. Organizations can still configure ledger sets for processing efficiency where ledgers in the set have different currencies.

Note: Use the Opt In page to enable the Ledger Set Classification for Consolidated Views feature.

This table describes the classifications.

Classification Description
Currency-specific Combine ledgers, or ledger sets, or both, with the same currency into a ledger set.
GGAP view Combine one primary ledger and secondary ledgers into a ledger set.
None Leave the Classification field blank to create ledger sets that contain ledgers, or ledger sets, or both, with different currencies.
Note: You can’t change the classification once you’ve created a ledger set assignment.
