Statuses of Combination Sets

You can control the lifecycle of your cross-validation combination sets using the Status attribute.

This table describes each status, when you might use it, and what status is available to use next.

Combination Set Statuses

Status When would you use it? What status can you use next?
Draft
  • After you create a combination set, and before you upload all combinations into the application.
  • When you’re not ready for journals and transactions to be validated against the combination set.
Note: You can delete a combination set with this status by using the Delete action.
Active
Active After you upload all the combinations and you’re ready for journals and transactions to be validated against the combination set.
Note: You can have only one active combination set for the same set of validation segments.
Inactive, Obsolete
Inactive You decide to temporarily remove the restrictions on new account combinations.
Note: You can have only one inactive combination set for the same set of validation segments.
Active, Obsolete
Obsolete You decide to permanently remove the restrictions on new account combinations.
Caution: When you set the status to Obsolete, the combination set and all its combinations will be deleted from the application.
Not applicable
Note: To use combination sets for validating transactions, you must enable auditing on cross-validation combination sets using the Manage Audit Policies task.
