Using Spreadsheets for Tax Transaction Entry
Depending on the type of tax transactions you're entering, use one of the taxable transaction spreadsheets or the Tax Entry Repository Data Upload spreadsheet to upload your tax transaction data.
These spreadsheets let you enter simple taxable journals to high volume transactions from external applications containing customers, suppliers, and other tax attributes for tax calculation.
Using spreadsheet-based entry options and existing tax configuration, you can calculate, account, and centrally report transactions taxes for tax on journals and transactions that are created in proprietary applications that are not from Oracle.
Taxable Transaction Spreadsheets
Use the taxable transaction spreadsheets online or offline to enter taxable journal and taxable transaction data. You can enter transaction data for simple tax on journals to complex rule-based tax calculation. These ADF Desktop Integration spreadsheets provide some online validation and are intended for lower volume transaction entry.
Taxable transaction spreadsheets can be used for the following event classes:
-
Purchase journal
-
Purchase transaction
-
Sales journal
-
Sales transaction
The following table lists the event class and the journal category for the journal created for each of the event classes in the spreadsheet:

List of Value for Accounts
Use the lists of values in the Debit Account and Credit Account columns of the Create Taxable Transactions and Correct Taxable Transactions spreadsheets. These spreadsheets are used to create taxable journals or transactions in Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, for transactions from external applications, and contain customer, supplier, and other tax attributes for tax calculation.
The list of values for these fields allows you to select a particular account code combination, improves the user experience, and reduces the possibility of making errors.
Double-click on the Debit Account or Credit Account field columns to open the accounts list of values. You can search by specifying the values for one or more accounting flexfield segments and choose a specific account code combination from the search results.
Tax Entry Repository Data Upload Spreadsheet
Use the Tax Entry Repository Data Upload spreadsheet for simple to complex tax data distributions. This spreadsheet is typically intended for high volume imports.
You can load the spreadsheet data to an interface table using the predefined Tax Entry Repository Data Upload Spreadsheet and the Load Interface File for Import scheduled process, which are both part of the External Data Integration Services for Oracle Cloud feature. For more information about file-based data import, see the File Based Data Import for Oracle Financials Cloud guide.
