Set Up Receivable Accounts for Cost Recovery Invoices and Partner Contribution Invoices
Use one of the following methods to set up receivable accounts for posting invoice amounts.
-
Define a receivable account for each joint venture.
Joint venture accountants can define the receivable account in the setup of each joint venture definition. See Specify a Receivable Account for Joint Venture Receivables Invoices for details.
- Instead of having users define a receivable account in each joint venture, you can
define a receivable account in these ways:
-
Define a default receivable account.
Use AutoAccounting rules to define a default receivable account for the business units of your joint ventures.Note: Receivable accounts defined using either of the other two methods will override the default receivable account. -
Define a receivable account using subledger accounting rules.
Use this method if defining a default receivable account or defining a receivable account in joint venture definitions doesn’t meet your business needs.Note: This setup acts as an override to a default receivable account and any receivable accounts defined in joint venture definitions.
