Why Do I Still See Journal Import Errors After Running the Purge Interface Tables Process?
The data that fails business validations is retained in the GL_INTERFACE and GL_JE_ERROR_CODES tables and is exposed in the user interface on the Import Errors tab of the General Accounting dashboard.
When you run the Purge Interface Tables process for the Import Journals import process, the error data in the GL_INTERFACE table will be cleaned up, leaving the error reference in the GL_JE_ERROR_CODES table. You'll see an entry on the Import Errors tab with an associated Correct Journal Import Data spreadsheet that’s empty until an Oracle Enterprise Scheduler maintenance process runs. That process runs automatically at the end of every day and syncs the data between the two tables, deleting the error reference from the GL_JE_ERROR_CODES table. Once the error reference is deleted, the error sheet will no longer appear on the Import Errors tab.
