How can I run the AutoPost process?

After you define an automatic posting criteria set, run the AutoPost process by clicking the Generate button on the Manage AutoPost Criteria Sets page or the Run AutoPost link from the Journals tasks panel tab.

The AutoPost Journals process posts the journal batches that meet the defined criteria. If you’re using journal approval, the batch proceeds through the approval process, after which posting is automatically submitted.

To only submit journals requiring approval, or to only submit journals ready for posting, opt in to the Enhanced Auto Post Submission Options for Journal Approvals feature. When enabled, the Submission Option parameter becomes available for the AutoPost Journals process with the following list of values:
  • Submit for approval and post: Sends required journals for approval and posts all other journals This is the default value and represents how the AutoPost Journals process works when the feature isn’t enabled.
  • Post only: Posts journals that don't require approval.
  • Submit for approval only: Sends required journals for approval.

Optionally, schedule the AutoPost Journals process for specific automatic posting criteria sets through the Schedule tab in the Schedule Process: Advanced region to run at specific times and submission intervals.
