FAQs About Running Joint Venture Processes
Why isn't the Quick Actions list of joint venture processes displayed on my home page?
If there isn't a Quick Actions list, ask your application implementation consultant to change the home page to the "News feed" theme to display it. See What themes can I use in Fusion Applications? for more information. Otherwise, you can use Scheduled Process to search for and run joint venture processes.
The Create Accounting process indicated that it completed successfully, but it didn't generate any accounting for my journal entries. Why?
The most likely reason is that an incorrect End Date was entered when running the Create Accounting process. The End Date determines which journal entries to process based on their event date—only journal entries with an event date on or before the End Date are processed. Here’s a scenario to illustrate this:
On October 12, a joint venture accountant generates journal entries for the September period. These journal entries receive an event date of October 12, which is the date the process is run. When the accountant starts the Create Accounting process, they are prompted to enter an End Date to determine which journal entries to include. If the accountant enters September 30 as the end date, expecting to capture all entries for September, the process will not select any of the new journal entries. This is because journal entries are chosen based on their event date, and in this case, all relevant entries have an event date of October 12.
