Create Catalog and Categories (Freight, Insurance, and Miscellaneous)
You must define freight, insurance, and other charges as non-shippable items in Inventory. You must create a catalog and different categories such as freight, insurance, and miscellaneous for that catalog.
The category is assigned to each charge item to identify if the item corresponds to freight, insurance, or miscellaneous charge. The Send Fiscal Documents to Tax Authority process extracts all charge lines as regular item lines. The catalog and categories assigned to the charge item are extracted for each item line.
These charge lines are moved from Shipping to Receivables as item lines, with product type as ‘Goods’.
From Manage Fiscal Document Generation page, the Fiscal Document page shows the Freight, Insurance, and Other Accessory Expenses as zero. The charge lines are shown as regular item lines.
