Entity Management

Federal agencies interact with external entities as a routine part of their business operations. Agencies make payments to some entities, such as suppliers, and receive payments from others, such as customers. Entities are referred to as parties in Oracle Fusion.

Oracle Fusion's standard supplier and customer functionality supports these business relationships, with the addition of federal-specific attributes required to meet government requirements.

Federal agencies use the General Services Administration’s System for Award Management (SAM) as the authoritative source for importing and maintaining both supplier and customer records. This integration helps ensure entity information remains correct, consistent, and compliant with federal standards.
