- Open Payables Agent.
- Select the Equalizer icon.
- Select Compliance & Control.
- Open the Invoice Completion or Defaulting tab.
- Select the edit icon to create or modify policies.
- Enter the policy in natural language.
- Review the generated rule on the canvas.
- Save the policy.
Example instructions include:
- Set Header Attribute 1 to Demo when Business Unit is Vision India.
- Set User-Defined Fiscal Classification to AP_TAX_RECAL_UDFC when Header Attribute 1 is Demo.
- Set Pay Group to Standard when Requester is Green, Terry.
Create a separate policy for each target attribute. Don't define multiple target attributes in a single policy.
Some target attributes require specific source attributes:
- Distribution Set requires Business Unit.
- Project-related targets require Business Unit or Project, depending on the target.
- Distribution Account targets require Ledger.
- Global Descriptive Flexfields require Legal Entity Country.
Invoice Completion policies:
- Apply during invoice import.
- Populate a target only when the field is blank.
- Don't override an existing value.
- Don't apply to manually created invoices or invoices inserted directly into Payables base tables.
Validate each policy using representative imported invoices and confirm that the target value is populated only when the source condition is met.
