What are RAG documents and why are they important?
RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) documents contain financing program information used by the Payment Options Assistant during payment opportunity analysis.
Examples include:
- Dynamic Discounting rates
- Virtual Card rebate rates
- Market borrowing rates
- Program-specific business rules
- Supply Chain Financing program parameters, such as the financing discount rate and maximum payment extension period
For Dynamic Discounting, the assistant uses the applicable rate from the configured financing program. RAG documents provide reference assumptions used in comparative benefit analysis, such as market rates and other program-specific parameters.
Publishing current RAG documents helps ensure that financing analyses reflect your organization's actual financing programs. RAG documents can also provide Dynamic Discounting, Virtual Card, and Supply Chain Financing program information for Payment Program Simulation before the corresponding program is configured in Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials. Programs available only through RAG documents are simulation inputs and can't be used to create offers, enroll suppliers, or execute payments.
