Accessing an Ad Hoc Grid
Open an ad hoc grid to personalize your view of and analyze data in a form.
You can access ad hoc from a stand-alone form, from a form within a dashboard, or from a chart built on a form within a Dashboard 2.0 dashboard. Ad hoc opened from a dashboard or a form opens in a dynamic tab.
Accessing a Saved Ad Hoc Grid
To access a saved ad hoc grid:

On the Home page, click Data.
Ad hoc grids on the Data Entry listing page display the ad hoc grid icon

Click the name of the ad hoc grid.
Performing Ad Hoc on a Stand-Alone Form
To perform ad hoc on a stand-alone form, open the form, click Actions, and then click Analyze.
Performing Ad Hoc on a Dashboard Form
To perform ad hoc on a form within a dashboard:

For forms in Dashboard 1.0 dashboards, maximize the dashboard form so that it fills the workspace, click Actions, and then click Analyze, or you can right-click the cell you want to analyze, and then select Analyze on Cell to open ad hoc in a dynamic tab.

For forms in Dashboard 2.0 dashboards, right-click the cell you want to analyze, and then select Analyze on Cell to open ad hoc in a dynamic tab.
Performing Ad Hoc on a Dashboard 2.0 Chart Element
To perform ad hoc on a chart element within a Dashboard 2.0 dashboard:

Open a Dashboard 2.0 dashboard.

Right-click a chart element; for example, right-click on a bar within a Bar chart.

Click Analyze to open ad hoc in a dynamic tab. Analyze launches that chart intersection in ad hoc.
