Dashboard Types

Dashboards are a powerful interactive interface used by various stakeholders with varying use cases. Dashboard designers must understand who is using the dashboard and for what purpose in order to create a dashboard that is appealing and functional to the intended user.

Every dashboard user has unique expectations, and these expectations must be kept in mind while designing dashboards. For Oracle Enterprise Performance Management Cloud, we've identified two general dashboard types:

  • Read-only dashboards: Read-only dashboards are visual tools that aggregate and display critical metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) in a single screen, enabling users to monitor and examine business performance at a glance. See Read-Only Dashboards.

  • Write-enabled dashboards: Write-enabled dashboards are unique to EPM Cloud and they support the ability to update data directly in the dashboard and immediately visualize it. See Write-Enabled Dashboards.
