Promote Published Agents from One Environment to Another

You can export all the published agent teams from one environment and import them to another using Setup and Maintenance.

For example, you can export from the test or staging environment and import to the production environment. The export package includes all the published agent teams, associated agents, and all the tools and topics linked to the associated agents.

After importing the published agent teams, you must publish them in the new environment to make them available for use. Also, if any of your agents use the following tools, make sure you complete these steps:

• Document tool - Upload and republish the document to ensure its content is correctly processed in the new environment.
• Email tool - Reconfigure the email tool to make sure necessary alerts are generated properly in the new environment.
• External REST tool - Reconfigure authentication settings for external REST API tools.

Export published agents

1. Create implementation project in the source environment.
   1. In Setup and Maintenance, click and select Manage Implementation Projects.
   2. Click and enter the details to create a new project.
   3. Save and open the project.
   4. Click to add tasks.
   5. Search for and select the Configure AI Agent Teams task list.
   6. Select Done and save the implementation project.
2. Set up configuration project.
   1. In Setup and Maintenance, select Manage Configuration Packages.
   2. Click to create a new package.
   3. Select the implementation project you created and submit the process.
   4. After the process runs and the status changes to Completed, click and select Download Configuration Package to save the file locally.

Import package

1. Upload package to the target environment.
   1. In Setup and Maintenance, click and select Manage Configuration Packages.
   2. Click Actions > Upload.
   3. Search for the downloaded configuration package and open it.
   4. Click Submit to upload the package.
2. Import data.
   1. On the Manage Configuration Packages page, search for the uploaded package.
   2. Click Import Setup Data and submit the process.
3. Verify the agent teams and publish.
   1. After the process runs and the status changes to Completed, go to AI Agent Studio.
   2. In the Agent Teams tab, open the imported agent teams. The agent teams will be in draft version.
   3. Verify the imported configurations.
   4. Publish the verified agent teams.
