How do I create a new access group rule using a new field?
In addition to the many ready-to-use access group rules, you can also add your own rules. In this example, we add a new rule based on a new field from the Case child object Case Contacts.
- Sign in to the application as admin user.
- Go to the Manage Object Sharing Assignment Objects task.
- Open the task and select the Case row.
- Click Create Child.
- Enter a Name. For example, Case Contact.
- Enter a Code. For example, Code Case_Contact.
- Select your desired View Instance Object (in this example: CaseContact).
- Click OK.
- Click the Attributes tab in the Case Contact: Details section.
- Click the + Add icon and select the View Object Attribute as per your business
logic.Note:
This is the attribute that appears in your new access group while creating custom rules.
- Click Save and Publish and wait for publish to complete. You can check the progress using the refresh buttons.
- Click Save and Close.
- The configuration is complete.
You can now create a custom rule on the Case Contact Relationship attribute.
