Can I create a new service request or work order from the Service Center homepage?
Yes. You can add buttons and reorganize the Action menu in the Service Center Home Page menu. This extension option enables your administrator to add common actions that are often performed by users but that are independent of the context of a specific service request.
Here are the two steps:
- In Oracle Visual Builder Studio, go to
service/ec/sr/service-home
. - On the Properties panel, click the Constants subtab.
- Select
secondaryActionsConst
. - Click
to create a new set of buttons.
Note: When you create a new set of buttons you replace the standard set of buttons. The process doesn't add to the default set. To retain the default set of buttons, include them in your new design. - In the Secondary actions field, click the More Properties icon (>) to view your options.
Here are some other details to note:
- An administrator can't edit, remove or rearrange these actions.
- An administrator can't add any custom actions.
