Enable changes to fields in posted service requests
Administrators can allow privileged users to edit all fields on a service request message, including the PII checkbox.
Often SR messages need to be changed to fix typos, errors or just to tag them as containing sensitive PII information. Formerly only the SR creator could make these changes. Now, as an administrator you can grant the ability to change posted SR messages and thus improve the quality of your data.
Just grant the EDIT_SR_MESSAGE privilege to the job role of the user or
users to whom you want to give this ability. Users with this privilege can edit all SR
messages no matter the message type or if they are or aren't the creator.
You must also set the ORA_SVC_SR_MESSAGE_PII_EDIT to Yes if you want roles with EDIT_SR_PRIV privileges to be able to change messages on open SRs.
