Use attachment attributes in Adaptive Search of service requests

You can use attachment field attributes such as file name and creation date in Adaptive Search to make searching for service requests easier.

This is helpful if, for instance, an agent remembers only attributes of an SR rather than the specific SR number. Enabling SRs to be discovered based on the attributes of their attachments can aid in operational efficiency and agent productivity. Here's how you enable it:

  1. Sign in with the Application Implementation Consultant role.
  2. From Setup and Maintenance, click the Tasks icon, and select Search.
  3. Search and select Configure Adaptive Search.
  4. Click the Setup tab, then select the Advanced subtab.
  5. Expand the Service Request object, then expand Attachments and select Attachment.
  6. Select the fields you want to make available for Adaptive Search by selecting the Include in Keyword Search checkbox.
  7. From the Actions drop-down list select Full Publish.
  8. Click Save and Close.
