Create a Microsoft Teams App

To create a Microsoft Teams app for Help Desk:

  1. In Microsoft Teams, click Apps in the navigation pane.

  2. On the Apps page, search for and add App Studio.

  3. In the Manifest editor tab of Apps Studio, click Create a new app.

  4. On the App details page, specify the details in the following sections:

    1. App names: Enter the short and full names for your app. The short name that you specify automatically appears in the navigation pane.

    2. Identification: Remember to click Generate below the App ID field to generate the app ID.

    3. Descriptions: Enter the short and full descriptions for your app.

    4. Developer information: Enter your company name and website.

    5. Partner information: If a partner organization is building the app for you, you must enter their Microsoft Partner Network ID. This section is optional and isn't applicable if your company is building the app.

    6. App URLs: Provide the links to your policy statement and terms of use.

    7. Branding: Upload the two icons for your app as required, and follow the instructions to select an app accent color.

  5. Go to the Capabilities section of the navigation pane to set up a bot user for your Microsoft Teams app.

  6. Go to the Finish section of the navigation pane and click Test and distribute.

  7. Click Download.

    The Microsoft Teams app that you created for Oracle Help Desk is downloaded as a compressed file.
