Make Yourself Available for a Chat
Work assignments are determined by your availability, so once you sign in to the application, set your presence and availability. You can explicitly specify your availability for work types such as chat and service request, and for a phone call.
Here's how you make yourself available for a chat:

On the Service Request List page, click the work type availability icon.

From the menu, select Chat.
When you point to these icons (highlighted in the screenshot), the tooltips indicate your availability status.
