Before You Run Activities Initialization Jobs

Here are the jobs roles and privileges you must have to run this initialization job.

• Job roles with the Manage Feed Element Generations privilege can do the following:

  Generate and publish activities which populate the activities stream data for users. The Sales Administrator, Service Administrators, and Application Implementation Consultant job roles have this privilege by default.

• User roles with the Access Feed View privilege can do the following:

  Access the activities REST services to view the activities of the object. This Sales Administrator, Service Administrators, and Application Implementation Consultant job roles have this privilege by default..

You also want to make sure users meet the following prerequisites before invoking the activities initialization job:

• Make sure the job is available for the Sales Administrator and Application Implementation Consultant job roles.
• Once the job is run, refer to How do I create and activate a service request activities configuration?.
• Make sure the ORA_ZCA_ENABLE_SIGNALS profile option is disabled, as shown in What are the Activities setup tasks?.
• Generate import and export artifacts for the Activities-enabled objects then makes sure the generation of the artifacts is complete.
