Configure Flow to Enable an Erroneous Flow to Continue

If you require the flow to continue processing even if there are errors, you can copy the predefined flow. This can be modified to change the behaviour in relation to the errors found in the flow.

Create and Modify a Copy of Predefined Flow

  1. Navigate to the Checklist work area and select Manage Payroll Flow Patterns task.
  2. In the search, enter these values:
    1. Flow Pattern - Pensions Automatic Enrolment Assessment Multiple Updates Process.
    2. Legislative Data Group – Select your LDG.
  3. Select the Pensions automatic Enrolment Assessment Multiple Updates Process.
  4. Click Copy.
  5. Enter a name for the new flow. Ensure that the LDG value matches your LDG.
  6. Click Save and Close.
  7. To verify if the flow was successfully created, search for the new flow name that you have created.
  8. Contact support and provide the name of the created flow name.

The support team will run a script to update the flow with the considerations described here.

    • Payroll Assessment Run Task: If your Maximum Errors Allowed is set to 20, the Payroll Assessment Run Task process will continue even if there are errors. This is true if there are 20 or less errors found. If there are more than 20 errors, the processing will stop.

The Payroll Assessment Run Task will always be marked as complete, regardless of the number of errors found.

Note: The status icon of the task will be set to In Progress with Error.
    • Pension Assessor Multiple Updates Task: If your Maximum Errors Allowed is set to 20, the Payroll Assessment Run Task process will continue even if there are errors. This is true if there are 20 or less errors found. If there are more than 20 errors, the processing will stop.

If the number of errors is at or below the Maximum Errors Allowed, the Pension Assessor Multiple Updates Task will be marked as complete. If the number of errors is above the maximum errors allowed, the Pension Assessor Multiple Updates Task will be marked as error.

The flow will continue regardless of the number or errors or if the flow task is marked as error or complete.

    • Run Errors and Warnings Report Task

This task won't normally error, and the Maximum Errors Allowed value is not used in this process. However, if this task does error, the flow will continue.

    • Run Pensions Automatic enrolment Report Task - This task won't normally error, and the Maximum Errors Allowed parameter value is not used in this process. However, if this task does error, the flow will continue.

    • Payroll Assessment Roll Back Task - This task won't normally error, and the Maximum Errors Allowed parameter value is used in this process.

Note: If this process does error, or fails to complete, you must submit a rollback flow to ensure that the assessment run is rolled back completely.
