Overview of End-of-Year Archive

Oracle Fusion Human Capital Management for Canada provides the Archive End-of-Year Payroll Results process to archive employee and employer information for end-of-year reporting.

The Archive End-of-Year Payroll Results process retrieves employee and employer information, including employee balances in a given year. It retrieves information for a payroll statutory unit and tax reporting unit, and archives them for year-end reporting.

After you run the process, navigate to Regulatory and Tax Reporting under Payroll on the Home page, and click Submit a Process or Report task. Use the Archive End-of-Year Payroll Results process to view the archived results.

The process archives these details included on the T4, T4A, RL-1, and RL-2 slips:

  • Transmitter information used in electronic reporting to the government

  • Employer information, such as:

    • Name (registered or alternate name)

    • Address

    • Employer Account Number

    • Quebec Identification Number

  • Employee information, such as:

    • Name

    • Address

    • Social Insurance Number

    • Province of employment

    • Exemptions

    • Balances

Before you use this archived data to generate the year-end slips, you must review and validate the results data. Validating the results data involves reconciling the data by running the registers, exception reports, and balancing the data.
