Housing Allowance for Qatar

The housing allowance can be a percentage, a flat amount, or a value based on the rate definition defined for the marital status of an employee.

This allowance is paid to GCC citizens only. The following are required for calculation:
  • Citizenship information in the calculation card for the person.
  • Element created for primary classification standard earnings and secondary classification housing allowance.
  • Allowance rule value for the selected Flat Amount/Percentage/Rate definition calculation option.
  • Marital status must be available so that the rate definitions selected from the Which rate should the allowance calculation use for married people? and Which rate should the allowance calculation use for single people? dropdown lists can be applied appropriately.
Note: If the marital status is not set or is other than married/single, the rate definition for single people will be applied.

You need to attach a Gratuity Salary formula in the employer gratuity PSU level calculation card, if not already attached. The value returned by this formula is used to take the base monthly salary for this allowance. The Housing Allowance Percent is applied on this monthly salary basis and the resulting amount is considered as Housing Allowance Amount.
