Initialize Pennsylvania Act 32 Local Income Tax Balances

In this example, you want to initialize an employee's Pennsylvania Act 32 withheld balances with specific contexts.

When initializing balances specific to Pennsylvania Act 32, you must also initialize any related balances for the combined city and school balances. For example, if you are initializing City Withheld or School Withheld balances, you must also include related balances, such as Local Withheld.

Assumptions

This example assumes you have defined the following.

• Your employees, such as through the Hire Person task

Create a Batch Using HDL

Create the HCM Data Loader (HDL) batch header and the batch lines.

Run Load Initial Balances Process

Once you have created the data files and imported the batches, run the load process.

1. From My Client Groups, click Payroll.

2. Under Flow Submission and Results, click Submit a Flow.

3. Select your US LDG.

4. Search for and select Load Initial Balances.

5. Enter a payroll flow name.

6. Select the Transfer or Validate mode operation from the list of values.

   The Transfer mode performs both validation and transfer in the same process, while Validate only validates the lines.

7. Enter or search for the batch name you created using HDL.

8. Click Submit.

Results

After the Load Initial Balances process runs successfully in Transfer mode, you can view the results in Process Results Summary or Person Results.
