As administrators, you can delegate approvals of a manager to another
person.
Assume that a manager in your organization had to suddenly go on a sick leave. To
ensure continuity in the approval process, as administrators you need to delegate
the approvals of this manager to another manager.

Go to .

Search for the person whose approvals you want to delegate.

Click .

On the Account Management page, go to the Approval Delegations section.

Click Add.

Enter values as indicated in these fields:
- Rule Name: Enter a unique name.
- Category: Select an approval category. Note that
only approval rules that belong to this category will be delegated.
- Start Date: The date from when the delegation is
effective. You can also specify the time when you want the delegation to
start.
- Delegate To: Select the person who you want to
delegate approvals to.

Optionally, enter an end date to indicate until when the delegation is
effective. You can also specify the time when you want the delegation to
end.

Select the Allow this user to approve their own
transaction check box if you want to allow the delegated person
to approve their transactions also.

Save your changes.
Results:
If enabled, both the person for whom you created the approval delegation rule and the
person who is delegated approvals receive notification about the approval delegation
rule.
Approvals are delegated to the selected person during the period that the rule is
effective. The delegated person can approve or reject the approval requests on
behalf of the original approver during the effective period.
