Run Diagnostics Test for a Failed Transaction
You can run a diagnostic test to identify the cause of a failed transaction. The diagnostic test generates a report of the transaction, which can then be used to further analyze the problem.
- In the Transaction Console, filter by failed transactions. Enter a keyword to find the failed transaction in a specific process. For example, search using 'Person' to find the failed transactions in the Change Personal Information process.
- Click on the transaction to drill-down for the transaction details. Copy the transaction ID from this page. You'll use the ID to complete the details to run the report.
- Navigate to your user image or name in the global header, and from the Settings and Actions menu, select Run Diagnostic Tests.
- In the Diagnostic Dashboard, enter Fetch transaction in the Test Name field.
- In the search results, select the Fetch Transaction Details check box. Then click Add to Run.
- In the Run Tests section, click the Required Input Values Missing warning icon.
- In the Input Parameters dialog box, paste the Transaction ID in the New Value column. Click OK.
- Enter a name in the Run Name field and click Run.
- Click OK in the confirmation message.
