Example of Standard Annual Working Duration and Annual Working Duration Defaulting in Assignment

You can default the standard annual working duration and annual working duration in the assignment from the position > job > location > department > legal employer > enterprise in that order, if a value is specified.

In this example, we have 2 assignments – Assignment A1 and Assignment A2 that uses the work structures listed here.

This table lists the work structures and the respective standard annual working duration and annual working duration values.

For example, if you're hiring an employee and adding an additional assignment, and you're using the following information, the standard annual working duration and annual working duration will be defaulted as follows.

Assignment A1 - POSITION-Application Engineer, JOB-Development, LOCATION-HYD and DEPARTMENT- Software Development

Assignment A2 - LOCATION-HYD and DEPARTMENT-Software Development

In assignment A2, a value exists in the location and legal employer but the application defaults from the location since it's higher in the hierarchy.
Annual Working Duration	20 Weeks	52 Weeks	In assignment A1, a value exists in position and the application defaults from the position since it's higher in the hierarchy. In assignment A2, there is no value in the location or department. Hence, the application defaults from the standard annual working duration.
