Improve Payroll Costing Process Performance

Create an index on the costing key flexfield segments to improve the payroll costing process performance.

When you have a large number of costing key flexfield segment combinations to process, create an index on the costing key flexfield segments to improve the payroll costing process performance. Use the Run Feature Upgrade flow with the feature name Create Index for Costing Key Flexfield.

If you have multiple costing structures in your organization, the process considers all the combinations. It creates an index based on the most usage of the columns and, if it determines the index is no longer applicable, it deletes any existing index. Use the log file to see any details of the changes made to the indexes.

This index improves the process performance if you have a large number of changes in the costing key segment combinations. You may not see much difference if you don't have many combinations.

Note: This feature is at the enterprise level. It isn't specific to any costing key flex structure and isn't available at the LDG level. Therefore, run the flow without selecting any Legislative Data Group.
