Overview of Time Card Processing Configuration for Only Project Costing and Project Costing and Payroll Combined

To process time data for only project costing or project and payroll combined, you can use delivered time processing profiles. These profiles use delivered repeating time periods, time categories, time consumer sets, and HCM groups.

The profile configurations support project-specific time processing. Or you can create your own configurations, as shown here.

If you create any of your own repeating time periods, time categories, and time consumer sets, then you need to create your own processing profiles. To use the delivered time processing configurations with your own HCM groups, then you only need to create time processing profiles. You can link the delivered repeating time periods, time categories, and time consumer sets to your HCM groups using your profiles.
