Balance Initialization Elements for the US

The Load Initial Balances process uses initial balance feed elements to initialize each balance. It creates these elements automatically before processing the upload.

These elements use the Balance Initialization primary element classification, and the process adds them to the balance as balance feeds.

Note: Don't manually create these balance initialization elements or any of their input values, balance feeds, or eligibility links.

For each balance you're initializing, the process:

1. Creates two elements of the Balance Initialization primary element classification, one for each employment level.

   • Payroll relationship

   • Assignment

2. Adds these elements to the balance as balance feeds.

3. Sets these elements as nonrecurring.

4. Creates each balance initialization element these input values.

   • One to feed the balance

   • One for each context required by the balance

5. Creates the element eligibility for the corresponding element types to the defined balances.
