Configure Synonyms for Recruiting Assistant

Synonyms help candidates find jobs using different terms. You can configure job category, job function, and location synonyms for the Candidate Experience V2 and Internal Candidate Experience V2 skills. These synonyms are used by the digital assistant while interacting with candidates.

On the synonym pages, you can create, delete, and translate synonyms.

As an example, for the San Francisco location, you could create synonyms such as Bay Area, Silicon Valley, South San Francisco, and San Francisco in this way:

  1. Go to the Setup and Maintenance work area.
    • Offering: Recruiting and Candidate Experience
    • Functional Area: Recruiting Assistant
    • Task: Manage Recruiting Assistant Synonyms
  2. On the Synonyms page, select the area for which you want to create synonyms: Job Category, Job Function, or Location. For example, let's say you select Location Synonyms.
  3. On the Location Synonyms page, from the Actions menu, select Add Location.
  4. From the Location list, select San Francisco.
    Note that if synonyms already exist created for the San Francisco location, you need to go back to the Location Synonyms page, and then edit this location to add more synonyms to it. You can't select it again to create a new set of synonyms.
  5. In the Synonyms field, enter the synonyms and separate them with a semi-colon. For example: Bay Area; Silicon Valley; South San Francisco.
  6. Click Save and Close.
