Overview of Payslip Page

A payslip is a printable record of a payment made to an employee during a payroll pay period or as a bonus or commission payment.

Use the redesigned page to view the summary of a payslip, such as the earnings and deductions. You can also preview the full payslip document, held in document of records, embedded on the page.

Use the Payslips task within Payroll under My Clients Group on the Home page to access and view the payslips.

The redesigned Redwood page offers you the following:
  • View at any given time, 25 payslips listed by date order. Payslips with the latest available date are displayed at the top of the page.
    • Select a payslip to view the details.
    • Select multiple payslips and view details of the payslip you selected last.

Payslips that are pending payment and are available to be viewed are highlighted with a Pending badge.

  • Select a payslip and view within the Summary region of the payslip page the following tabs:
    • Earnings
    • Deductions
    • Net Pay Distribution
    • Payroll Preview
  • Click on the Earnings tab to view a summary of the amounts paid on the payslip.
  • Click on the Deductions tab to view a summary of the amounts deducted on the payslip.
Note: Configure the payslips page to group and view earnings and deductions amount on the payslip summary page based on the element primary classification. For example, deductions can now be displayed under headings such as pretax deductions and voluntary deductions.
These two tabs also include an analytics region that break down the payslip amounts in a pie chart and provide a bar chart to compare payslips.
    • The pie chart displays the percentage of each earnings or deduction. Select an earning or deduction to view the amount.
Note: A pie-chart can't display negative values such as a salary or absence deduction. Therefore, the information displayed on the pie chart may not match the earnings and deductions listed in the earnings and deduction regions. Hence, it's recommended that you hide the pie chart on the payslip page.
    • By default, the bar chart displays history details for four payslips. You can use the chart to compare the details across the payslips. When you hide the pie chart, the size of the bar chart is expanded to the full width of the region.
  • Select the Net Pay Distribution tab to view the net pay distribution information such as the bank account details.
  • Select the Payroll Preview tab to view the payslip, held in the Document of Records, and embedded within the Payslips page. You can also download the document from this page.
  • Select the check boxes against the payslips and use the Export option at the top of the page to export one or more payslip documents.
  • Hide or display the tabs and analytics to meet your business requirements. You can even configure the page to simply display the payslip document embedded within the page.
  • Use the Journey option to include the Redwood version of the page in a Journey.
  • Add your own help content using the Guided Journey feature. For example, add help information to explain the type of payments made by your company.
  • Use the Ask Oracle option to include the page in the search results on the Ask Oracle page.
  • Use the Nudge option to enable nudges.
