Secure List of Values for a User-Defined Role for Balance Adjustments

If you are using a predefined job role, then the list of values for balances and elements on the Adjust Individual Balances responsive page are automatically secured.

These predefined job roles are secured by the security privileges defined for the roles.
  • ORA_CMP_COMPENSATION_ADMINISTRATOR_JOB

  • ORA_HRC_HUMAN_CAPITAL_MANAGEMENT_APPLICATION_ADMINISTRATOR_JOB

  • ORA_HRC_HUMAN_CAPITAL_MANAGEMENT_INTEGRATION_SPECIALIST_JOB
  • ORA_PAY_PAYROLL_ADMINISTRATOR_JOB

However, if you are using a user-defined role, add the aggregate privilege ORA_PAY_REST_SERVICE_ACCESS_PAYROLL_REFERENCE_DATA_LOVS to the role to secure the list of values. If you don’t add this privilege, the Adjust Individual Balances responsive page doesn’t display the list of values for balances and elements.

Use these steps to add the aggregate privilege to a user-defined job role for balance adjustments.
  1. Navigate to the Security Console under Tools on your Home page.

  2. Search for the user-defined role and click Edit Role.

  3. Select the Role Hierarchy tab and click Add Role.

  4. Search for the ORA_PAY_REST_SERVICE_ACCESS_PAYROLL_REFERENCE_DATA_LOVS privilege.

  5. Click Add Role Membership.

  6. Click Save and Close and then Submit.

After you add the privilege, follow these steps to regenerate the data security grants.
  1. Navigate to Scheduled Processes under Tools on your Home page.

  2. Click Schedule a New Process.

  3. Use the drop-down in the Name field and search for Regenerate Data Security Grants.

  4. Click OK and enter a Mode and Job Role.

  5. Click Submit.

If you have signed-in with the new job role, you will now be able to see the list of values for balances and elements on the Adjust Individual Balances responsive page.
