Define Contractual Enrolment

You can record organization and payroll relationship information on the Pensions Automatic Enrolment calculation card. You can enable contractual enrolment assessment and maintenance of employees in addition to the current pension scheme enrolment obligation.

Organization-Level Calculation Card

At the organization level, you can use the flexfield Pensions Contractual Enrolment Information in the Pensions Automatic Enrolment calculation card for contractual enrolment. Contractual opt-in, back-dated transfer and transfer are considered as contractual joining actions.

To enable this feature, enter the values described here:

Field	Value
Process Contractual Element	Set this to Yes.
Eligibility	Eligibility of employees. Select one of these options: All employees Based on scheme Based on formula
Eligibility Formula	User eligibility formula. Select the eligibility formula used to determine the employee eligibility using the naming convention %CONTRACTUAL ELIGIBILITY%.
Pension Scheme	Select the default contractual pension scheme.
Pension Scheme Formula	Select the user formula to determine the contractual pension scheme using the naming convention %CONTRACTUAL PENSION%.
Opt-Out Period	Select the period, which is the unit of measure used to derive the opt-out period end date, whether in weeks, months, or based on formula. The default period is 3 months.
Opt-Out Factor	Select the factor, which is the factor applied to the unit of measure to get the opt-out period end date.
Opt-Out Formula	Select the formula to get the opt-out period end date using the naming convention %CONTRACTUAL OPT OUT%.
Opt-Out Application Rule	Select the application rule to specify whether the opt-out period end date should be derived each time an employee joins a pension scheme, or only the first time, or if the date should be entered manually.

Person-Level Calculation Card

At a person level, you can use the Transfer Qualifying Scheme Name option to support contractual enrolment in the Pensions Automatic Enrolment calculation card,.

The Pensions Automatic Enrolment Multiple Updates process uses the results from the assessment run and updates the Pensions Automatic Enrolment calculation card, and creates the Contractual Pension Scheme components when employees are eligible. The Pensions Automatic Enrolment report also provides notifications for contractual enrolments.
