Date Used in Salary Metric Calculations

The salary amount is dated while the full-time equivalent (FTE), grade, grade rate, and differential profile are effective dated. Thus, salary can have logic for multiple combinations of FTE, grade, grade rate, and differential to apply for different time periods.

So, how are salary metrics, such as compa-ratio, range minimum, and range maximum, calculated? The metric calculations use a reference date and here's how it's identified:

• If the salary start and end dates are in the past, use the salary end date.
• If the salary start date is in future, use the salary start date.
• If the salary started in the past and the end date is in the future or ongoing, use the current system date.
