Define Third Parties for Court Orders for Kuwait

You must set up the recipients of court-ordered deductions as third-party payees. This applies to payments made:

  • Through the court.

  • Directly to the individual.

  • Directly to the organization.

Note: Remember to set up third parties for all court orders. For court order types that don't have third-party payments, you can create a dummy bank account or a dummy third-party payment method as either cash or cheque payment. Now you can attach this payment method to all the court order types that don't have third-party payments.

You can use the Manage Third Parties task to create a third-party payment record for court order payments that are directly sent to the third party. This enables you to send the payments using the regular payment methods, for example, Bankers' Automated Clearing Services (BACS).

Here's how you can set up third parties:

  1. Select the Manage Third Parties task from the Payment Distributions work area.

  2. Click Create.

  3. Select the Party Type.

  4. Select the Party Usage Code as External Payee.

  5. Click Continue.

  6. Enter the name of the third party.

  7. Click Add.

  8. Enter the address details.

  9. In the contacts section, click Add.

  10. Enter the contact details.

  11. Click Submit.

  12. Select the legislative data group for the third party.

  13. Click Continue.

  14. Select the organization payment method.

Note: The organization payment method you select must be added in the Valid Payment Methods of Payroll Definition.
  15. In the banks section, click Add.

Note: The bank account region is displayed only when the organization payment method is EFT.
  16. Enter the required information for the bank account for the third party payment.

  17. Click Save and Close.

Now that you're done creating a third party for the court order with the associated payment method, you can select this third party from the list of values for the Payee for Order Amount field in the Court Orders calculation card component details.
