Social Allowance for Qatar

The social allowance depends on the marital status of the employee and is paid to GCC citizens only.

The following are required for the calculation:
  • Citizenship information in the calculation card for the person.
  • Element created for primary classification standard earnings and secondary classification social allowance.
  • Marital status must be set for the person in order to calculate the value of social allowance based on values defined for the marital status.
Note: If the marital status is not set or is other than married/single, the amount/percentage entered for single will be applied.
  • Enter allowance rule values for Social Allowance Amount for Married, and Social Allowance Amount for Single. When a flat amount is selected, you must enter a social allowance amount for the married or single employee.
  • Enter allowance rule values for Social Allowance Percentage for Married, and Social Allowance Percentage for Single. When a percentage of earnings is selected, you must enter a social allowance percentage for the married or single employee.

You must attach a Gratuity Salary formula in the employer gratuity PSU level calculation card, if not already attached. The value returned by this formula is used to take the base monthly salary for this allowance. The Social Allowance Percentage for Single/Married is applied on this monthly salary basis and the resulting amount is considered as Social Allowance Amount.
