Condition Components in Time Categories

A time category condition has a time attribute, value type, and operator.

• The time attribute identifies the type of time, such as Payroll Time Type, Task, and Expenditure Type. The unit of measure that you select filters the available time attributes.

• The value type is the classification of the time category value. You can use these value types to define time categories.

  Value Type	Description
  Any value	Include the time entries that have any value for the time attribute in the category.
  Blank value	Include the time entries that have no value for the time attribute in the time category.
  Specific value	Include the time entries that have the specified value for the time attribute in the time category.
  Value set	Include the time entries that have an attribute value that's in the specified value set, in the time category.

  To see only attribute values that you can save and use in balance definitions and reports, select Track Usage.

• The operator lets you combine multiple conditions to further filtered the time entries to include in the category. Use an AND operator to include entries only if they meet both conditions. Use an OR operator to include entries if they meet either condition.
