Configure the Job Profile Type to Use in Staffing Plans and Workload Consolidation
By default, staffing plans use jobs to identify the staffing grid demand. But you can use job families, positions, or scheduling groups instead.
The job profile type you enable set up how you map workload demands to specific
worker attributes. For example, you decide to enable scheduling groups for your
hospital, and you have demands for registered nurses. Workers with any of these jobs
can claim or be assigned registered nurse shifts, because they have the same
scheduling group:
- Registered Nurse 1
- Registered Nurse 2
- Charge Nurse
You set this preference at the start of the implementation and then don't change it again. So be sure of which job profile type to use. For example, in your implementation it might make more sense to use job families or scheduling groups instead of jobs.
