Create a Volunteering Project

Employees who register as volunteers and administrators can create new projects and organizations. You can create a new volunteering project from the Projects page specific to your role.

Before You Start

  1. If you don't plan to use an existing organization, then create a new organization and submit it for approval before creating the project. Although you can create an organization at the time of creating the volunteering project, if the organization fails EIN validation, then the volunteering project is inactivated.

  2. Select an image that you want to use as the cover for your volunteering project.

To create a volunteering project:

  1. Click Add Project.

  2. In the Create Project page, select an existing organization or create a new one and enter the project name and description.

  3. Give the registration deadline, start date, frequency, and project end date.

  4. Specify the maximum and minimum capacity for the project and specify the minimum age for participants.

  5. Enter the name and contact details of the person who will coordinate the volunteering activities.

  6. Select one or more causes associated to the volunteering project and click Continue.

  7. Select the location where the volunteering activity will take place and click Continue.

  8. Browse and select the featured image that you want to add as the cover for the volunteering project and click Continue.

  9. Specify the benefits provided such as refreshments and project giveaways like T-shirts. Attach any additional information related to the project such as consent form or promotional leaflet.

  10. Click Submit.
