What's the difference between global names and local names?

The following table outlines the difference between global and local names.

Name Type	Description
Global Names	Are in a format and language that can be understood throughout a multinational enterprise.
Local Names	Are understood by users in a single country, but may not be understood throughout a multinational enterprise. You can have only one local name at a time. Select the local-name language that is most appropriate for your primary assignment and reporting requirements. For example, if your home country is Sweden, you may enter a local name in the Swedish language and format.
