Global Payroll Interface reports the Assignment Status, which comprises of HR and Payroll status.

  • HR status: Status of assignment from HR perspective, determines whether the assignment is active, inactive, or suspended.

Record Leave of Absence

In Setup and Maintenance work area, use the Manage Assignment Status task in the Workforce Functional area to extend the list of assignment statuses and create statuses specifically for LoA. For example, create a status to convey that the employee is on LoA and another to convey that the employee is back to work. Each of these statuses will have the payroll status mentioned as Process or Do not process as required.

HR managers or specialists can update date effective assignments by setting the assignment status appropriately when an employee goes on leave of absence or returns from one.
