Guidelines for Loading Salaries Using HCM Data Loader
You supply salary information for processing using the Salary.dat file and HCM Data Loader. When supplying data for a salary component, pay rate component, or simple component, you also need to supply the parent salary information.
Here's what you need to do if you're loading salary components:
- Set the MultipleComponents attribute to Y.
- Set the SalaryAmount attribute to the previous base salary amount plus the sum of any salary components.
For terminated assignments, set the DateTo attribute only when the salary to date is before the assignment end date. Otherwise, set the salary end date to the assignment end date, not the date in the linked payroll element.
Set the ActionCode attribute to the action linked to the salary. Here's a list of sample values:
Action Code | Action Name |
---|---|
ALLOCATE_GRP_CMP | Allocate Workforce Compensation |
CHANGE_SALARY | Change Salary |
GLB_TRANSFER | Global Transfer |
HIRE | Hire an Employee |
HIRE_ADD_WORK_RELATION | Add Employee Work Relationship |
PROMOTION | Promotion |
REHIRE | Rehire of Worker |
TRANSFER | Transfer |
To create salary at the assignment level, supply a unique reference to the assignment. Salary processing obtains the Grade and FTE values from each assignment.
