Here's how you create an HCM group with embedded groups.
Before you start
You need to create the groups to embed in this group. For
example, you create the RN in CA on Primary Assign group and the All PTE with Annual
groups.
Here's what to do
-
Create the HCM group.
-
On the HCM Groups page, click the Create icon.
-
On the Create Group page, enter a name, such as RN in CA on
Primary Assign and All PTE with Annual.
-
Enter a description, such as Individuals with the Registered
Nurses collective agreement, in a labor union, in California. And all
part-time equivalent individuals with an annual salary
basis.
-
In the Include or Exclude Groups section, embed the applicable groups and set
the priorities. Here's an example.
Priority |
Group |
1 |
RN in CA on Primary Assign |
2 |
All PTE with Annual |
When you embed groups within another group, a worker can exist in more than
one group. The priority numbers assigned to the embedded groups decide the
group membership.
-
Specify whether the embedded group includes or excludes members. When the
worker is a member of multiple embedded group, the status of the
highest-priority group decides whether the worker is included or
excluded.
-
Save your changes and close the page.
-
Refresh the group membership.
-
On the HCM Groups page, click Refresh Group
Membership.
-
On the Refresh Group Membership page, select the group to refresh, such as
RN in CA on Primary Assign and All PTE with
Annual.
-
In the Evaluation Date field, select the current date.
-
In the Remove Future-Dated Group Members field, select
No.
-
Submit the refresh process.
