How Position Synchronization Impacts Assignments

If you're using positions and have enabled position synchronization, then assignments will inherit values from the associated position.

Any change in the synchronization configuration, position attributes, or the position hierarchy (manager) impact the assignment. Let's look at some of the scenarios that impact assignments because of position synchronization

Change in Position synchronization configuration on the Enterprise HCM Information page	You update the enterprise HCM information and enable position synchronization for certain attributes such as job, department, location, and grade. Change in Full Time Equivalent (FTE)	The new FTE is calculated based on position working hours and is synchronized in the incumbent worker assignments.	Position	Assignment
